This month has seen another period of change and growth for Sierra 57 in some tumultuous economic times, with the appointment a new Business Development Consultant – Ryan Hunnam.
Ryan joins the Sierra 57 team at an exciting time with the recent appointment of Birgit Kruger and when the business is going from strength to strength. He has a strong background in BD and sales, working within Mould machine sales, Masterbatch and polymers so already has a network of people supporting his progression and who he can reach out too. Ryan adds value to the team dynamic not only by generating new business leads for our Recruitment and Account Management team to develop and nurture, and will be an asset to our business. He is also a very nice young man.
Our MD Mark Lawson commented “ Over the last 6 months, the team has spoken with just over 10,000 candidates within the plastics, packaging, tooling, recycling & petrochemical industries, - all candidates either worried or uncertain about their job securities, furloughed or about to be / have been made redundant and seeking new positions to safe guard their families and generate monies. We have managed to help 125 of them find new positions and we continue to help as many as we can. So it was fitting that whilst we have to expand the team to help these people, we appointed one of those redundant candidates within our team, who has first-hand insight into how it feels out there. Ryan will join us in forging ahead to identify new business vacancies, introducing himself and Sierra 57 Consult, to allow us all to keep helping more and more candidates find work. Ryan is a smart and clever young man, a big heart and with several years’ experience within Plastics, and further to ongoing Commercial & Plastics training from Industry Experts, will continue to gain the credibility & recognition from the industry. Specifically, he wants to help more fellows out there.”
