Job Overview: Working closely with a credible Materials Handling & Cooling Specialist to the Plastics Manufacturing industry across the UK, we are looking for an experienced Electro-mechanical Service Engineer for the installation, commissioning and servicing of bespoke mechanical equipment

Role:

  • As Service Engineer you must have good electro-mechanical maintenance / servicing / commissioning skills with strong experience in PLC programming and have had previous experience of commissioning, calibrating, breakdown diagnosis and repair of primary & secondary machines.  Ideally applicants with be either within a Service Engineer role or be a competent Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Engineer with good mechanical engineering experience & qualifications and hold 16th , 17th, OR 18th edition electrical regulations certificate
  • This exciting Service Engineer role includes subsistence allowance, paid OT, company vehicle and offers a full training package
  • Applicants can be located from anywhere in the North of the UK, supporting Injection moulding and plastics packaging customers across Northern territories.

Required education:

  • Electrical/Mechanical Engineering HNC, time-served apprenticeship, C&G

Required experience:

  • Installation, service and repair of electro-mechanical machinery
  • Prior experience working within hi-volume manufacturing or automation environment
  • Performing tasks under pressure to meet production requirements
  •  Building and maintaining good working relations
  • Ability to identify areas of improvement for customers
  • Advantageous if you have experience, proficiency or working knowledge around plastic injection moulding or Plastic Packaging machines & integrated automation.
