Job Overview: Our client, a manufacturer of injection moulding components has retained our services to search for an Injection Moulding Setter.




  • As an Injection Moulding Setter, you must have several years’ experience with setting, conditioning, and maintenance & process optimisation of Injection Moulding machines working with a wide range of materials
  • The Injection Moulding Setter will be responsible for accurately setting and processing tooling in accordance with the production schedule
  • You will be required to ensure that all jobs are completed on time and to the correct quality standards whilst meeting customer requirements

General Description:


  • Responsible for Setting and Operating of Moulding Machines within your section and assisting in completing orders on time and at the correct quality and cost 




  • The safe mounting and dismounting of injection mould tools
  • The correct disposition of all waste from the moulding process
  • Maximising machine utilisation & overall equipment effectiveness
  • Responsible for trouble-shooting
  • Responding to red lights
  • Support the safe effective operation of mould shop equipment and the production of moulded components to the required standard
  • Offering flexibility to cover operator/packer duties when requested
  • Support CI initiatives & 5s programs to drive change and process development across the shop floor
  • Full compliance with all company Standard Operations Procedures (SOP’s) 



  • Experience in high volume, quick tool change, short run production environment
  • Experienced technical setter with good knowledge of engineering polymers
  • Through knowledge of injection moulding process and moulding ancillaries
  • Recognised plastics industry qualification (NVQ, ONC, HNC etc.)
  • A team player with the ability to work productively and easily with others
  • Excellent communicator
  • Ability to work well and calmly under pressure
  • Flexible and approachable
  • Excellent attention to detail
