Job Overview: Our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, has retained our services to search for an Injection Moulding Technician to join their team.
Remit:
- Candidates MUST HAVE several years’ experience in setting, conditioning, maintenance and process optimization of injection moulding machines.
- The role of Injection Moulding Technician is to undertake safe, accurate and efficient setting of the machines and tools to achieve the company’s safety, quality and production targets.

Role:
- The successful injection moulding technician candidate will carry out tool changes effectively and safely in the injection moulding areas of the business
- As an injection moulding technician it is your responsibility to ensure injection moulding processes can achieve targeted scrap and efficiency levels, on new and existing products
- To be able to work well within the technical injection moulding setting, processing & optimisation team
- As an injection moulding technician you will be required to carry out tool and material trials
- Basic machine maintenance and trouble shooting
- To drive continuous improvements ensuring product quality is maintained & good working practices are adhered to.
- Carry out quality checks and report issues to the quality team
- To liaise with all members of the department to ensure operations run smoothly
- Ensuring that key performance indicators on tool changing are achieved.
- To ensure Health & Safety rules are maintained with your own work area and demonstrate a duty of care to colleagues, visitors, contractors or anyone else on site.
Experience:
- Previous mould Setting & Optimisation experience within injection moulding manufacturing is ESSENTIAL
- Experience of process problem solving within an injection moulding environment
- Successful candidate will hold an IMT level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
- Experienced with larger sized injection moulding machines (1000T +) would be a distinct advantage
- Must be physically fit
- Basic level of Numeracy and Literacy is required
- Good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive can-do attitude
