CNC Machinist / Programmer Full Time

Remit:
- This position will suit a skilled CNC Machinist with experience in programming and operating Hurco vertical machining centres
- Fantastic opportunity for a skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer to join an established technical team during an exciting period of sustained business growth
- The successful candidate will programme and operate CNC Milling machines to produce customer components accurately to drawings
Role:
- Programme and set CNC milling machines to manufacture components to customer specifications
- As CNC Machinist you will ensure produced parts conform to drawing and customer requirements
- Confidently decide on best methods and tooling to produce components
- Work to planned schedules to meet company and customer deadlines and requirements
Experience Requirements:
- Proficient in programming and operating Hurco vertical machining centres
- Competent with VISI/CAD CAM and/or Machining strategist programming software
- Recognised engineering apprenticeship or relevant on the job experience
- Ability to programme and operate Haas vertical machining centres (Desirable)
- Experience with setting and operating multi axis machining centres (Desirable)
- Experience with manual machine tools. Mill, Lathe, Surface grinders (Desirable
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Competent in the reading and interpreting of Engineering drawings
- Display excellent problem solving abilities
- Good general IT skills including Microsoft office
- Ability to build effective team relationships
- Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
- Self motivated with can do attitude
