Overview: Working exclusively with our client, an established and expanding injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to support further business growth.
Remit:
- This position will suit an experienced Technical Sales or Business Development Manager with a background in injection moulding or other polymer processing disciplines
- A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- The successful Business Development Manager will be joining a dynamic and forward-thinking business and will have an opportunity to become a member of their senior leadership team
Role:
- As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities for the company’s injection moulding manufacturing services
- In the role of Business Development Manager you will build strong business relationships with prospective customers across target industry market sectors
- Developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of new business opportunities
- Generate leads through market research, networking, contact referrals and industry events
- Managing the full sales cycle from initial contact through to contract award
- Act as the main commercial contact for customers during quotation and project development stages
- Understand customer requirements and coordinate with internal teams to develop solutions
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals and commercial offers
- Lead commercial negotiations with customers
- Ensure projects are commercially viable and aligned with company pricing strategies
- Monitor market trends, competitors and emerging opportunities
- Contribute to strategic sales planning for the business
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
Experience Requirements:
- Proven experience of business development or technical sales within injection moulding or plastics manufacturing
- Technical knowledge and understanding of plastic injection moulding processes and tooling
- Demonstrated ability to win and develop new business
- Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications and manufacturing requirements
- Knowledge of tooling development and product design for injection moulding an advantage
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving ability
- Full UK driving licence
