Job Overview: Working alongside our client, a leading injection moulding toolmaker and precision engineering business we are looking for a Toolmaker to join their established team.

Family owned and led by a highly recognised & time-served Managing Director & a proven injection moulding Toolmaking industry expert & professional, the business is equipped with some of the best capital equipment for supporting their UK customer base.
They pride themselves in having 30+ years knowledge specialising in the design & manufacture of mould tooling, plastic & metal component development & machining of hi-tolerance engineered protypes and components.
Benefits:
Business hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per week
One hour for lunch
Overtime to be worked when required, – when busy so could be after 5pm or Saturday mornings. Paid at time and a half
20 days holidays per year plus statutory bank holidays

Remit:
- This role would suit a Toolmaker, Toolroom Engineer or Precision Engineer with knowledge of injection mould tooling, the successful candidate will be competent in the use of manual toolroom machinery, CNC experience is not essential.
- Essential experience required within Surface grinding, Cylindrical Grinding, assembly of parts and achieving a high tolerance finish, ability to read drawings and applying attention to detail to ensure finish is achieved to the highest possible quality
Role:
- As a Toolmaker you will be working on the design, build, maintenance, service and repair of injection mould tools on site.
- The ideal candidate will have experience as a Toolmaker within an injection moulding toolroom
- Candidates will require a strong mechanical aptitude and the desire to learn and develop upon their skills as this position can offer growth, stability and security.
- This is an exciting position for a Toolmaker who is keen to join a company going through an expansion period where they can learn and develop their skills further
Requirements:
- Must have experience on Injection Moulding tool making, fitting & bench work
- Competent in the use of manual and standard toolroom equipment (lathes, mills, surface grinders, cylindrical grinders)
- Assembly of parts and achieving a high tolerance finish
- Experience in CNC machining would be highly beneficial but not essential
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Computer literate with the above to view CAD files & assemblies
- Attention to detail to ensure the finish is achieved to the highest possible standard
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, work on own initiative or within a small tooling team.
