Remit:
- This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled injection moulding setter to join a forward-thinking organisation who place great importance on the training and development of their staff.
- Candidates MUST HAVE demonstrable experience within injection moulding manufacturing.
- The successful senior injection moulding setter candidate will have opportunities for Sierra 57 Mould Training which is fully endorsed and CPD approved by IOM3.
Role:
- As Senior Setter you will work closely with the mould shop management team providing technical leadership for the mould shop setting teams to deliver continuous improvement across plant.
- In the role of Senior Setter you will work closely with the injection moulding department to identify best moulding practice to achieve scrap reduction, improved labour efficiency, reduced tool and machine breakdowns and improved quality.
- As Senior Setter you will be responsible for ensuring that day to day production tool changes are set to fulfil production programs.
- Ensuring all master setting data sheets for each part is up to date and optimised to ensure best possible part quality.
- Ensure all down time, setter scrap and try-out scrap/material usage is recorded accurately.
- Carry out troubleshooting on any moulding, quality or processing concerns.
- Liaise with the Toolroom and Maintenance departments in the correct manner to resolve concerns with tooling and machine related issues.
- Carry out a thorough shift handover.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within injection moulding manufacturing
- Industry recognised injection moulding qualifications
- Good level of materials knowledge
- Lean manufacturing knowledge (desirable)
- Automotive experience (desirable)
- Good problem-solving skills
- Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills
