HSE Manager Full Time
Job Overview: We are working on behalf of our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a HSE Manager to join their team.
Remit:
- As a HSE Manager you will be responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining the companies safety, health, environment and energy systems (ISO14001, ISO45001 & ISO5001) to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude towards driving standards and compliance with a willingness to flexible, adapt to new challenges whist assisting in maintaining a culture that positively promotes health and safety across the site.
- This is a hand on role, candidates must have strong communication skills with proven HSE management experience.
Role:
- To lead the audit process to include maintenance of the site’s ISO14001, 45001 and 50001 accreditations

- To act as a focal point for HSE matters on site and participate in and chair HSE related meetings, investigations and incidents
- To support Group HSE initiatives and liaise with other HSE professionals across the organization identifying and introducing industry best practice
- To minimise the site’s environmental impact by playing a leading role in energy saving, waste management and control of hazardous substances initiatives
- Plan, assist and carry out health and safety training for all employees from time to time to ensure full compliance with both site and legislative health and safety requirements whilst maintaining the relevant records
- Manage key performance indicators for site HSE – near misses, lost time accidents, safe observations, RIDDOR incidents, waste management etc
- Manage risk assessment schedules and drive improved risk assessment methodologies
- To identify and lead internal auditing activity based on key HSE KPIs
- To support the development of the HSE coordinator
Experience Requirements:
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Minimum 3 years HSE Management experience within the manufacturing industry (injection moulding, assembly, construction)
- The ideal candidate will be from an automotive background however other manufacturing industries will be considered
- Working knowledge of plastic injection moulding and paint processes would be desirable
- Internal or Lead Auditor trained
- NVQ Level 5 Occupational Health and Safety Diploma
- Strong communication skills.
- Externally accredited training in SHEE tools
- Minimum intermediate level in MS Office tools
