Mould Process Engineer Full Time

Job Overview:  Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a skilled Mould Process Engineer to join their team.

Remit:                        

• This role will suit a skilled, hands on, Injection Moulding Process Technician with a thorough understanding of injection moulding machinery, processing and ancillary equipment

Role:

• In the role of Mould Process Engineer you will be responsible for the optimisation of new, modified and/or refurbished mould tools through the application of structured process optimisation tools
• As Mould Process Engineer you will monitor and record the performance of setters in terms of efficiency and quality of product produced
• The successful Mould Process Engineer will work collaboratively with the Mould Technician’s to reduce downtime, improve efficiency and safety through training
• Take ownership of all moulding process validation activities to ensure all mould tools are qualified to the agreed schedule and quality standard
• Provide technical support for injection moulding machinery and ancillary equipment
• Working to reduce downtime and optimise processes with regard to tool changes to achieve maximum productivity
• Completion of root cause analysis investigations using standard investigation tools to ensure production and process related issues are fully resolved
• Work closely with the senior leadership team to identify and progress continuous improvement initiatives

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years plastic injection moulding processing experience
• Industry recognised injection moulding qualifications
• Demonstrable practical experience in the development of injection moulding process development in a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience with the optimisation and conditioning of injection moulding machinery, tooling and automation
• Sound decision making and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Experience processing a range of materials
